5 key components of an apprenticeship!

GI BILL/VA BENEFITS

We are proud to support those who have served our country. We recognize the contribution that veterans bring to our workforce. Our program accepts GI Bill® and other Veterans Education Benefits.
If you are a veteran, active-duty service member, or a dependent, you may be eligible to use your education benefits with us to support your career goals.

During your onboarding process, we will seek all the necessary funding opportunities that are available to you. Through the Valor Act, eligible veterans can access financial assistance, educational assistance, career counseling, and job placement services, ensuring a smooth transition into civilian employment.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Regardless of if you’re attending our traditional campus or apprentice programs, we are here to guide you to receive the financial assistance needed. Financial assistance is available to help traditional students, active apprentices and Employer Training Partners with various costs like tuition, fees, supplies, food, housing, and transportation to and from your supplemental instruction classroom.

Financial assistance varies. Depending on your circumstances, state and chosen program, there are several types of financial assistance/scholarships you might be eligible for. As part of your onboarding process you will be scheduled with our Financial Assistance navigator to see what programs might work for you.

STEP #1

COMPLETE THE INTEREST FORM

Click on APPLY NOW and complete the interest form. We have new classes starting monthly. On-the-job training starts weekly. Now is the perfect time to get started on your future career! Upon completion of the interest form a representative will email you the next steps. Please keep a check on your email.

STEP #2

COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION

Once you receive an email, it will guide you through the next steps. Please follow the directions to submit your application. After completing the application, you will be directed to schedule a 15-minute consultation with one of our career advisors. Consider this your 1st interview. Your career advisor will guide you on the next step to register for our Masterclass.

STEP #3

ATTEND THE MASTERCLASS!

The masterclass will answer any other questions you may have regarding the entire process of becoming an apprentice. You will be able to identify the right program, learning pathway and all the information needed to become successful in your career choice. Consider this your 2nd interview. Upon completing the masterclass, a representative will contact you within 48 hours with the next steps.

STEP #4

UPLOAD YOUR DOCUMENTS.

You will receive a secure link to load your documents in the portal. In order to become qualified, you must submit all the necessary documents to meet state and federal guidelines to ensure that you qualify to be employed or a student in the United States. Start gathering your documents to submit for processing. Scroll below to view the required documents to become a qualified apprentice candidate. Upon completion, please allow 48 – 72 hours for processing of your application/documents.

STEP #5

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.

During the review, a financial assistance navigator, will assess your application to help you acquire any available financial assistance you may qualify for. Your information is also assessed by our financial partners. We will seek every financial opportunity available to you. You will receive a letter from Black Girl Beauty School of Careers office of administration. This will be an acceptance or denial letter. We are inclined to deny a potential student if there is a conflict with the supporting documents. Based on this reason, additional information may be requested. If you receive an approval letter, the next steps will be listed.

STEP #6

CONNECT WITH AN EMPLOYER

Once you receive an acceptance letter, you will have an opportunity to meet and interview with our employer partners and view available job offers. You will also be scheduled for an orientation. During orientation you will learn about responsibilities and standards, the format of the program, the progression of the program, and how performance will be measured. Your work schedule will be determined by you and your employer. Girl Beauty School of Careers will be your sponsor and will provide your RTI online (theory) training and will manage the entire apprentice experience, ensuring your success.
