PRESIDENT – FELICIA T. THOMAS
Felicia Thomas is a military baby born in Erlangen, Germany. After her parents left the Military they returned to Cayce, SC where she graduated from Brookland Cayce High School and was a part of the Varsity basketball team, track & field and JROTC which led to her basketball scholarship. She continued her education at Allen University with a major in Biology. Following her family legacy, Felicia joined the United States Army in August 2006. She’s been stationed at Fort Rucker, Camp Parks, Fort Bliss and Guantanamo Bay Naval Base just to name a few and she received numerous awards throughout her military career. After serving in the military for 12 years Felicia retired and returned back home to Cayce, South Carolina to take care of her ill grandmother who has since gone on to be with the Lord. After that traumatic experience, it was also the turning point for Felicia… A new journey began. She became a foster parent of her three nieces and nephew while also raising her own three sons DJour, Evan and Ian.
At that time Felicia was a single parent of seven children. That did not stop Felicia! In fact it motivated her to do more! With all seven kids by her side Felicia poured her love and passion into her community, she became a leader and community activist. Over the last several years she’s hosted community meet & greets, back to school events, Easter egg hunts and much more. She’s also an event planner and works very closely with Cayce public safety with her involvement in the development of making her community safe and lovable again. Her goal is to one day open a community center with a food bank, after-school program and serve as a community information center with a special emphasis on residential transportation and aid assistance for those in need of government benefits.
Felicia has recently graduated from Grace Coaching Academy as a Certified Domestic Violence and Life Skills Coach where she provides affordable counseling to those in need. Her latest attribute is she is now the Founding President of The National Alliance of Black Girl Beauty Foundation Cayce-West Columbia, SC where she will continue her community initiatives with a strong focus on Economic Development, Education, Entrepreneurship, Health & Beauty and Personal Development.
