Black Girl Beauty School of Careers welcomes students who are strong, self-motivated, and fast-paced learners eager to learn, grow, beautify, and help others. The beauty school industry is recession-proof and filled with unlimited opportunities!
Cosmetology is the study of beautification—the practice of providing makeup, skin, nail, and hair services. Cosmetologists at our beauty school study the latest advances in hair care, skin care, and makeup techniques. They assist clients in achieving their beauty and styling goals while maintaining the overall health of their skin and hair. Services offered can include hair cutting, styling, cosmetic applications, and basic skincare treatments, all provided in one comprehensive package.
At Black Girl Beauty School of Careers, we are dedicated to supporting students through every phase of their education, graduation, and career placement. Our cosmetology program is available in a traditional classroom setting on campus and through apprenticeship training with on-the-job guidance from a licensed mentor. While attending our classes and working in our student salon environment, you’ll discover exciting future opportunities, such as working for major beauty companies or becoming a salon owner. Our apprenticeship program offers incredible on-the-job training from some of the industry’s top professionals with over 10 years of experience. Our cosmetology curriculum specializes in Black Hair Care, allowing you to enter an industry that empowers people to look and feel great while building a loyal clientele within your own communities.

Cosmetology Program Information
Beauty school prepares you for the real world the moment you walk in the door, especially with a focus on Black Hair Care!
The traditional program at Black Girl Beauty School of Careers is a hybrid educational experience. All theory hours are conducted through online education, available 24/7 from the comfort of your own home. Students must complete the first 250 hours of theory before they can start working on live models. Once students finish the 250 hours of level I theory, they will advance to the clinic floor for level II theory, where they will begin to complete hands-on practical assignments on live models. This flexible model allows students to create a schedule that fits their lifestyle, making it easier to balance their education with personal commitments. Black Girl Beauty School of Careers will also prepare and register you to take both your theory and practical board exams for a Cosmetologist, with a strong emphasis on Black Hair Care.
