Esthetician Program Information
If you enjoy helping people look and feel more beautiful, Black Girl Beauty School of Careers’ Aesthetics program is the right program for you. The skin care business is wide open, with unlimited opportunities! Becoming an aesthetician, or skin care specialist, provides you with opportunities to work in many different environments.
Our aesthetician students can choose to work at salons, spas, dermatology offices plus many other options. We train our students using the distance learning (theory) and on-the-job training (practical) where students are given the skills & knowledge needed to become skin and makeup professionals. They learn the most up-to-date techniques, skincare innovations and technologies. We even provide you with the business skills you’ll need to begin a fabulous career.
This program is available at our apprenticeship school. From skin analysis, ingredient technology and prescriptive retailing to waxing and makeup techniques, our extensive program offers students an all inclusive preparation program for a career as a skincare therapist.

The traditional program is a hybrid educational program. All theory hours are done by online education available 24/7 from the comfort of your own home. Students must complete the 1st 250 hours of theory before working on live models. After students complete 250 hours of level I theory then students will advance to the clinic floor/level II theory and will begin to complete all hands-on practical assignments on live models at Black Girl Beauty School of Careers main campus location. This model will allow students to create their own schedule that’s convenient for their lifestyle. Black Girl Beauty School of Careers will prepare and register you to take both your theory/practical board exams for a Esthetician.
