Georgia Nail Technicians, Estheticians, and Cosmetologists are required to complete 5 hours of continuing education every renewal cycle. Nail Technicians and Estheticians are due August 31st of every odd year and Cosmetologists are due March 31st of every even year.

ALL Active Cosmetology and Barbering License holders are required to take the three (3) hour Technical College System of health and safety class in addition to two (2) two hours of any elective. Reinstatement applicants are NOT exempt from Continuing Education requirements. ​​

Instructor licensees are required to take 15 hours of CE. At least half (7.5 Hours) of the total 15 Hours shall be in teaching techniques, lesson planning, or another advanced teacher training. Instructors are NOT exempt from Continuing Education requirements.
